1. Deputy Director/ Tech
Total posts: 2
Educational Qualification: Officers of the Central Government or State Governments or Union Territories or Public Sector Undertakings or Recognized Research Institutions or Universities or Semi-
Government Organizations or Autonomous bodies or Statutory Organizations:
(a) (i) holding analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre/ department. or
(ii) with 2 years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular
basis in Level 13 in the Pay Matrix or equivalent, in the parent cadre/department; and
(b) possessing the following educational qualification, namely: -
(i) Bachelor Degree in Engineering [B.E or B.Tech or B.Sc(Engg)] awarded by a
recognized University in the fields of Electronics or Electronics and Communication or
Electronics and Telecommunications; or Associate Membership of Institute of
Engineers (AMIE) in Electronics and Communications Engineering; or Graduate ship
awarded by Associate Membership of Institute of Electronics and Telecommunication
Engineers (AMIETE) in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering; or Master of
Science in Physics with Electronics or Telecommunications; or Bachelor Degree in
Engineering [B.E or B.Tech or B.Sc(Engg)] awarded by a recognized University in the
fields of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Technology, Computer
Science & Engineering, Information Technology or Software Engineering; or Master of
Computer Applications (MCA) after three years Bachelor of Science in Physics; or
Master of Science (Information Technology) or Master of Science (Computer
Science/Computer Application) or Master of Science (Software) from a recognized
University/Institute; and
(ii) twelve years' experience in research and development or manufacture or
application in the area of telecommunication equipment or computer or
telecommunication network or signal monitoring or Communication
lntelligence(COMINT) or Technical lntelligence(TECHINT) or Information Technology
(IT).
2. Senior Research Officer
Total posts: 2
Educational Qualification: Officers under the Central/State Governments/Union Territories/Universities/Recognized Research Institutions/Public Sector Undertakings/Statutory/Semi-Government or Autonomous Organizations :-
(a) (i) holding analogous post on regular basis; or
(ii) with five years' regular service in posts in the Pay Band 3. Rs. 15600-39100 plus
grade pay of Rs. 5400 or equivalent; or
(iii) with seven years' regular service in posts in the Pay Band 2. Rs. 9300-34800 plus
grade pay of Rs. 4600 or equivalent; and
(b) Possessing the educational qualifications and experience as follows:
(i) Master's degree in Economics/Statistics/Business Administration/Management or
Commerce from a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii) Five years' experience in Macro-Economic Analysis/Research work and
preparation of report on contemporary economic issues and future economic trends.
3. Library & Information Officer
Total post: 1
Educational Qualification: Officers of the Central Govt. or State Governments or Union territories or Universities or Recognized Research Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or Semi-Government, Autonomous or Statutory Organizations:
(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
(ii) with five years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular
basis in the posts in pay band-3. Rs. 15600-39100 plus Grade pay of 5400/-or
equivalent in the parent cadre or department; or
(iii) with seven years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on

(b) Possessing the following qualifications and experience, namely:-
(i) Master's Degree in Library Science or Information Science or Documentation

4. Security Officer (Technical)

Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/- or equivalent; and

(i) Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Communications Engineering or M.Sc. in Physics or
Chemistry from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent.
(ii) 3 years (5 years in the case of diploma holders for B.Sc.) practical/field experience
in detection and disposal of explosive devices.
5. Deputy Central Intelligence Officer/Tech

(a) (i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
(ii) with two years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular
basis in level-7 (Rs. 44,900-1,42,400/-) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent
cadre or department; and
(b) possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:

experience in security or intelligence work.
7. Assistant Central Intelligence Officer-II/Executive

Educational Qualification: Officers under the Central Police Organizations or State Police Organizations or Defence Forces:

(ii) with five years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular
basis in level-6 (Rs. 35,400-1, 12,400/-) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent

(b) Possessing the educational qualification and experience as follows:
Essential:
(i) Master's degree in Economics/Statistics/Business Administration/Management or
Commerce from a recognized University or equivalent.
(ii) Two years' experience in Economic Investigation/Research work in a recognized
Institution/Government or Semi-Government organization in data collection both
primary and secondary, survey work, tabulation and interpretation work.
12. Accountant

Educational Qualification: Officers under the Central Government: -
(a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/ department; or
(ii) with six years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular
basis in the post in the Grade pay of Rs. 2800/-or equivalent in the parent cadre/
department: or
(iii) with ten years' regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on
a regular basis in the post in the Grade pay of Rs. 2400/- or equivalent in the parent
cadre or department; and
(b) Possessing any one of the following qualifications: -
(i) A pass in Subordinate Accounts Service or equivalent examination conducted by the
organized Accounts department of the Central Government.
(ii) Training in Cash and Accounts work in the Institute of Secretariat Training and
Management and three years' experience in cash, accounts and budget work.
13. Female Staff Nurse
Total post: 1
Educational Qualification: (i) Female Staff Nurse in identical/equivalent scale of pay from Military/Civil Hospitals
of the Central or State Governments.
14. Caretaker
Total posts: 4
(i) Any Group C employee of Intelligence Bureau with five years' regular service in
level 4 (Rs. 25500-81100/-) in the pay matrix; or
(ii) Employees of Central Government or the State Governments or Union territories
holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department.
15. Junior Intelligence Officer-I/Executive
Total posts: 26
Educational Qualification: Officers of the Central Police Organizations or State Police Organizations or Defense
forces:-
(i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or
(ii) with five years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular
basis in Pay Band-1, Rs. 5200-20,200/- plus Grade pay Rs. 2400/- (level 4 of the new
pay matrix) or equivalent in the parent cadre or department.
16. Junior Intelligence Officer-I (Motor Transport)
Total posts: 12
Educational Qualification: Officers of the Central/State Government/Central Police Organizations -
(a) (i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre/department; or
(ii) with five years' regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on
regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs. 5200-20200/- with grade pay of Rs. 2400/- or
equivalent in the parent cadre/department; and
(b) Possessing valid heavy/commercial driving license issued by the competent
authority.
17. Junior Intelligence Officer-Grade-II (Motor Transport)
Total posts: 12
Educational Qualification: Officer of the Central/State Government/Central Police Organisations-
( a) (i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre/department.
(ii) with five years' regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on
regular basis in the scale of pay of Rs. 5200-20200/- with grade pay of Rs. 2000/- or
equivalent in the parent cadre /department.
For Ex-servicemen: The Armed Forces personnel due to retire or who are to be
transferred to reserve with in a period of one year and having the requisite experience
and qualification prescribed as under shall also be considered.
(i) 12th Standard pass or equivalent.
(ii) Possession of valid driving license for motor cars.
(iii) Knowledge of motor mechanism.
18. Security Assistant (Motor Transport)
Total posts: 15
Educational Qualification: (a) Officers of the Central or State Government holding analogous post on regular
basis; or
(b) Employees of Intelligence Bureau;
(i) holding analogous posts; or
(ii) with 3 years regular service in Pay band-1, Grade Pay of Rs. 1900; or
(iii) with 6 years regular service in Pay band-1, Grade Pay of Rs. 1800; and
(c) Possessing the following qualification:
Essential:
(i) Matriculation or equivalent
(ii) Possession of valid driving license for motor cars
(LMV) issued by the competent authority,
(iii) Knowledge of motor mechanism (The
candidate should be able to remove minor defects in the vehicle); and
(iv)
Experience for driving a motor car for at least one year after obtaining valid driving
license.
19. Halwai Cum Cook

Educational Qualification: Officers of the Central Government-
(a) holding analogous post on regular basis in parent cadre or department; or
(b) Cook or Cook-cum-Water Career in level 2 in the pay matrix Rs. 19900-63200/-
with nine years regular service in the grade and should be competent to function as Halwai.

Educational Qualification: Absorption from the Group 'C' employees in the Intelligence Bureau by selection to be
made on the basis of test in rifle or pistol shooting.
