Assam Police Constable 2023 Vacancy Details:

Thirty Percent 30% of the Vacancies will be Reserved for Women Candidates.
Eligibility Criteria Assam Police Recruitment 2023
Nationality- Candidates must be Indian Citizen, permanent resident of Assam.
Employment Exchange : Candidates must register his/ her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam
Candidates must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
Age Limit :
18 to 40 years as on 01-07-2022 (i.e. Candidates must be born on or before 01.07.2004 and on or after 01.07.1982).
Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable :
(i) By 5 years for SC/ST candidates, i.e. Up to 45 years.
(ii) By 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates i.e. up to 43 years
Educational Qualification Assam Police:
i) H.S.L.C or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council.
ii) Other Qualification: Home Guard Certificate or Minimum NCC ‘A’ Certificate.
Note:- The persons having H.S.L.C. passed certificate but not possessing Home Guards Training Certificate or minimum NCC ‘A’ Certificate are not eligible to apply.
Selection Process Assam Police Constable:
(ii) Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
(iii) Medical Test
(iv) Written Test
(v) ORAL / VIVA-VOCE
(vi) Final Merit
Physical Standard Test & Physical Efficiency Test (PST & PET)-
PHYSICAL EFFICIENCY TEST:- 40 Marks The Physical Efficiency Test will carry 40 marks. It will have 2 (two) events viz.
Male Candidates :
a) Race: Those who qualify in the PST will have to appear in the 3200 meters race to be completed within 14 Min. Maximum qualifying time 840 seconds.
b) Long Jump: Minimum 335 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks)
Female Candidates:
a) Race : Those who qualify in the PST will have to appear in 1600 meters race to be completed within 8 Min.
b) Long Jump : Minimum 244 cm for long jump (3 chances to be given and the longest valid jump rounded off to the nearest cm will be considered for awarding marks).
Written Test :
Written test will consist of 100 multiple choice type questions to be answered on an OMR answer sheet. For each correct answer the candidate will get half mark. Total marks for the Written Test will be 50. There will be no negative marking
(i) Elementary Arithmetic
(ii) General English
(iii) Logical reasoning/Mental ability
(iv) Assam’s History, Geography, Polity, Economy
(v) General Awareness/General Knowledge and current affairs
The question paper for Written Exam will be in the following languages: Assamese/ Bodo/ Bengali/English.
c) Written Test will be conducted at Guwahati. The date and venue of the written test will be notified in due course.
