Director of Technical Education, Assam: Online applications are invited from the candidates who are Permanent Resident of Assam (except Central Govt. Employees quota) for registration to appear in the Polytechnic Admission Test [PAT]-2022 for admission into Diploma Courses in State Government Polytechnics of Assam and Polytechnics outside Assam (against seat allotted by the Govt. of India) for the session 2022-23.

Polytechnic Admission Test Centre's: Admission Test will be held Govt. Polytechnics/ Institutions of Assam under Directorate of Technical Education, Assam and in selected centers at Mangaldoi and Tezpur.

Time of test: 10 AM to 12 Noon (2 Hours)

Type of questions: Multiple choice questions (MCQs)
Total marks: 100 marks
Other Eligibility Criteria: Candidate/s must be a permanent citizen of Assam.
Educational Qualification: Candidate must pass the HSLC or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subject with-
- Minimum 40% marks (average) in Mathematics and Science for General & OBC/MOBC Candidates.

- Minimum 35% marks (average) in Mathematics and Science for Schedule Caste (SC) Candidates.

Age Limit:
The maximum age limit is as given below for each categories-
- General & OBC/MOBC: 20 years 6 months as on 31.12.2022.
- Schedule Caste (SC): 23 years 6 months as on 31.12.2022.
- Schedule Tribe (ST): 23 years 6 months as on 31.12.2022.
- For institutions outside Assam: 20 years 6 months as on 31.12.2022. (Against Govt. of India allotted seats).
- For institutions outside Assam: 20 years 6 months as on 31.12.2022. (Against Govt. of India allotted seats).
Application Fee of Polytechnic Admission Test:
For Polytechnic Admission Test-2022 and Counselling for Admission” : An application fee of Rs.500/- [plus bank charges as applicable]Payment Mode: Is to be paid using “State Bank Collect” which facilitates payment through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking. Payment may also be made which facilitates payment through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking. Payment may also be made in cash at any branch State Bank of India after generating the Cash Deposit form from “State Bank Collect’ in final step of Online Application. Further instructions will be available during the online application process.

Please Note:-
1. Candidates will not be permitted to take admission without Permanent Resident Certificate [PRC] /Caste Certificate / for OBC (Non Creamy Layer Certificate after clearing Polytechnic Admission Test-2022. Therefore, the candidates are requested to keep the PRC and above mentioned documents ready well in advance for admission into the State Govt. Polytechnics of Assam.
