SSA Assam, Online Applications are hereby invited in the prescribed format from the permanent resident of Assam qualified in Assam TET conducted by the Elementary Education Department, Assam for filling up of following 3753 posts of Assistant Teachers at Lower Primary and Upper Primary School on a contractual basis under the Axom Sarba Siksha Abhiyan Mission.
Vacancy Details SSA Assam Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2020 for 3753 Posts:
1. Assistant Teacher Lower Primary (LP) Schools
Total posts: 2966
Educational Qualification:
a) At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes
Or
b) At least 45% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations,2002.
Or
c) At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
Or
d) At least 50% marks in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (Special Education)
Or
e) Graduation from UGC recognized University with Assam LP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes
Or
f) Graduation or Post Graduation* with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with LP- TET and Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University **
NOTE: *As per NCTE Notification vide F.No. NCTE-Reg/012//22/2019-US(Regulation)-HQ, dated 13.11.2019.
**The appointee who is appointed on the basis of qualification of Bachelor of Education(B.Ed.) shall mandatorily undergo a Six-month bridge course in Elementary Education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education(NCTE) within two years of the appointment. [5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST (P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC & PH candidates].
2. Assistant Teacher Upper Primary (UP) Social Science
Total posts: 548
Educational Qualification:
a) Graduation from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes
Or
b) Graduation or Post Graduation* with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University
Or
c) Graduation with at least 45% marks from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and 1-year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
Or
d) Graduation with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and 1-year Bachelor in Education (Special Education) from recognized institutes/University [5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST (P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC & PH candidates]

3. Assistant Teacher Upper Primary (UP) Maths & Science
Total posts: 239
Educational Qualification:
a) B.Sc. from UGC recognized University with Assam UP-TET and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) from recognized institutes
Or
b) B.Sc. or M.Sc.* with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University
Or
c) B.Sc. with at least 45% marks from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and 1-year Bachelor in Education(B.Ed.) from recognized institutes/University in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
Or
d) B.Sc. with at least 50% marks from UGC recognized University with Assam UP- TET and 1-year Bachelor in Education (Special Education) from recognized institutes/University [5% relaxation of marks for SC/ST (P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC & PH candidates].

Age Limit:
Minimum age is 18 years for all candidates and maximum age is 40 years for unreserved category, 43 years for OBC/MOBC and 45 years for SC/STP/STH and 50 years for Person with Disability (PwD) as on 1st January 2020.

Selection Process of SSA Assam Assistant Teacher 3753 Posts:
Separate Merit list will be published for each district. The selection of the candidates shall be strictly in order of merit following the procedure as per Government norms. Marks will be allocated as follows:

How to apply SSA Assam, LP & UP Assistant Teacher Recruitment 2020 for 3753 Vacancy:
The eligible candidates shall apply online in the website https://ssa.assam.gov.in from 10:00 AM of 27/09/2020 to midnight of 11/10/2020. No offline application will be received.
A candidate can apply only for one post in one district mentioned above. Not following this criterion will lead to cancellation of candidature forthwith.
The Online Applications and documents submitted by the candidates will be verified using modern technology ensuring the genuineness of the uploaded documents. Back office verification by the competent Board/ Council/ University/ Authority etc. will also be done as well. Moreover, the authority if felt necessary may conduct physical verification of documents at any point of time through Public Notice. In case any candidate found to be absent on the specific date and time, his/her candidature will be canceled without assigning any reason thereof.
