Army Institute of Nursing, Guwahati has been establishment under the aegis of Army Welfare Education Society (Awes) under overall guidance of Adjutant General's Branch. Integrated Headquarters (IHQ) of Ministry of Defence (Army). The Institute conducts two programmes.

Qualification & Experience: 

(a) Mandatory
i) Should be retired Army Officer of the rank of Colonel/ Col (TS)/ Lt Colonel.
ii) Should be between 54 to 66 years of age at the time of joining. Age relaxation upto 62 years may be considered in case of outstanding candidates.
iii) Should have experience of handling finances and legal issues.
iv) Should have no discipline case during entire service.
v) CO/2IC of maj unit or AEC Officers Principal Sainik/ Military School.

(b) Preferred
i) Should be SHAPE-I (Medically). Low Medical Category Officers, other than on 'S' factor may be considered.
ii) Should preferably have experience/ background of having handled educational Institutions.
iii) Should be IT Savvy.
iv) Should preferably be Graduate of Defence Service Staff College. Non Psc Officers may also be considered.
v) Should have experience in handling of works/ construction projects.

(c) Officer who has taken premature retirement can be considered if working/ worked in education Institute for administrative duties.
(d) The appointment shall be on term basis for three years contract, which will include first one year of problem.
(e) AEC officers who have been Principalos of Sainik Schools/ Military Schools are eligible.

Salary: Consolidated ₹80,000/- per month with annual increment @ 3% after successful completion of every year in service.
